The Federation of Hungarian Jewish Communities (MAZSIHISZ) – one of the four big historical church – is the representative organ of the local Jewry. Its highest level is the council, with 121 members from all around the Hungarian synagogues, and the rabbis. Every four year they are electing the president, the managing director and the board of governors.
The JCC Budapest – Bálint ház’s mission is to build support for a welcoming, inclusive and diverse institution that inspires Hungarian Jews to discover their heritage and to freely and actively engage with their community. To provide a window for visitors to recognize the vibrancy and potential of Hungarian and Central European Jewish life. To create meaningful opportunities for American, Israeli and other Jews to connect with the Hungarian Jewish community.
