Coming of Age in a Time of War: Comparing Personal Testimonies
This lesson is aimed at making the Holocaust more relevant to students. Comparing the Holocaust to the events of October 7 makes the topic more relatable to their own experiences.
One Story, Many Connections
History is often taught through facts and dates, making it difficult to understand the personal experiences and emotions behind historical events. This lesson addresses this by using Teofila Silberring’s testimony to explore how individual memories, family experiences, trauma, and historical places shape our understanding of the past.
Dual Identity – Krakow Jewish Artists
Students are not aware of the different identity dilemmas Jewish people have faced. The lesson explores Jewish identity through the works of Jewish artists and encourages students to reflect on identity, self-expression, and different ways of being Jewish.

Nothing fires up the teenage brain like the word competition and we work with teachers so their students will discover their Jewish heritage through walking tour videos, short documentaries, and art projects.

In our cooperation with NLI, we develop resource packs with films, primary sources and worksheets – for various subjects and age groups, created by educators for educators.
